Spyro Trilogy Delayed Until November

Well, anyone who was excited to go down memory lane with their favorite purple dragon in a few short weeks, I am afraid there is some bad news ahead. Originally slated to be released on September 21st, it looks like now the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be releasing on November 13th. Apparently, the game needs more time and effort to be done right. In an official statement from Paul Yan, Co-Head of developer Toys for Bob, Yan said, “Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar, and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”

Everyone hates delays we know this, but honestly, as much as we hate them they are usually for the best. Developers probably took heavy notice of what happened with the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and didn't want to make the same mistake. The Crash Bandicoot remake, while successfully tugging at our nostalgia strings, didn't feel the same as the original. The controls felt clunky and the platformer style gameplay didn't operate as smoothly as the original. Ultimately Toys For Bob is in all likelihood just trying to make sure that their remakes feel and play as well as the originals did. Ground up remakes are no easy task people they essentially have to make the entire game again from scratch. So let us remember that patience is a virtue and that hopefully come November we will actually be getting an HD remake worth spending hours and hours on.
