Video Games Could Be The Future Of The Casino  

 

Imagine walking into a MGM or Caesars Palace and the casino floor is filled with video games that you can play and win money. With skill-based casino games making their way into casinos and cruise ships, this will be a reality very soon. By ?putting theses arcade games in casinos, this will be the new way to attract younger gamblers and also give control to the players because their winnings will depend on their skill.  

 

Nevada and New Jersey, two major gambling hot spots in America, were the first states to pass legislation allowing skill-based games in casinos as a way to draw in younger players. For Nevada, it only took the legislation 6 months ?to pass because casinos were looking for the next big thing in gambling.  

 

Dr. Tony Alamo, the chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission says, “Everyone feels the urgency.I’m hoping that next year, the whole floor will be full of these games.” 

 

GameCO was the first company to capitalize on the gambling industries urgency. They have collabed with Steve Aoki to create Steve Aoki’s Neon Dream and created titles based off films such as T2: Terminator 2. They have created games that are similar to popular apps like Candy Crush and Temple Run. 

 

 Gamblit Gaming is another company that partnered with Caesars Palace to create the Trisation, a hardware that allows six players to choose from six video gambling games to play. They have blended their content with popular games to create the Trisation that is now featured in major Vegas casinos. 

 

"Part of Caesars Entertainment's ongoing commitment to gaming innovation involves taking risks and investing in new product offerings that we believe give our customers original and exciting experiences," said Melissa Price, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Gaming, Caesars Entertainment. "Gamblit's TriStation game machine is an exciting venture because it's the first time that individuals can play some of their favorite video games on a casino floor." 

 

Just because these games are based off of skill does not mean the best gamers can become millionaires off these machines. With each bet, you will have a maximum amount that you can win that is determined by the machine. The amount you win can be more than your original bet or the max payout can be less. Either way you're simply playing to keep your losses to a minimum, but you can potentially win a jackpot prize up to $5,000.
