A recent tweet by the official Rainbow 6 Siege Twitter has announced that DreamHack Montreal will be the home of a R6 minor. The tournament will span from September 7-9 and will boast a 50,000 dollar prize pool. This is a pretty significant event as Montreal is home to the studio that develops the game and will be the first Canadian hosted event for Rainbow 6. The bracket for the tournament will contain 12 professional or challenger teams but will also allow 4 teams who qualify at the LAN held at the event at the BYOC qualifier!
Qualification Process
The first-place team will earn the first spot in the Six Invitational 2019, the most prestigious R6 tournament. Ubisoft has also announced that they will be announcing more about how to secure a spot for this tournament on August 19th at the Paris Major’s Main Event. In regards to the competitors you will see at the DreamHack competition, Ubisoft has banned teams who are qualified for the Paris Major from competing at the minor. Teams of mixed players of Paris Major qualifiers will also be ineligible from earning the Six Invitational 2019 spot.

September 7 - BYOC Qualifier will run until completed & beginning of Group Stage matches
September 8 - Group Stage
September 9 - Playoffs & Finals
