PUBG Mobile has gone and done it. The battle royal mobile game by publisher Tencent Games surpassed 100 million downloads, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds celebrated with a couple of two big eSports events.

PUBG kicked things off on Aug. 17 with the Player Well Known Invitational. The events hosted 16 of the games most popular streamers and Youtubers who competed over two days and was live streamed on Facebook, Twitch and the PUBG Youtube channel. The invitational featured famous names including Melonie Mac, TSM VIss and STPeach. During the invite, Fans were able to vote for their favorite player and receive a 1,000 free BP.

The small-screen invite seemed an ideal way to celebrate as it drew PC gamers to its ranks, seeing how the gamers could crossover their skills. The competition had fans excited to discover who could claim the ultimate champion title as players attempted to outlast each other. Since the release of the game five months ago, Sensor Tower reported that PUBG has earned more than $50 million moving from Xbox One and PC to iOS and Android.

PUBG mobile is continuing the celebration with the PUBG World Championship. It is the first PlayerUnknown’s Battleground championship and will be hosted for the best of the best players to compete. The championship will run in stages, running from qualifiers, preliminaries, regional and world finals.

Players must have at least 1,000 social media followers to compete in the championship and need three other players to fill a team. Most of the details for the event are being locked down and buried deep in PUBG Mobile’s vaults as the company fights to keep the details secret. Tencent Games has however revealed that one of the rewards will be access to promotional streaming resources, allowing players to grow their followings on social media.
