Prepare for CoD Championships 2018

The 2018 Call of Duty World League Championship tournament is kicking off on August 15th. 32 of the world’s best teams will be fighting for a claim of the 1.5 million dollar prize pool. The championships will start at 9:00 AM PDT with matches from groups A and B. Groups C and D will be played the following day at 9:00 AM  as well. The last set of unfinished matches will run at 4:30 PDT. The teams that make it out of groups will enter into a playoff bracket. The playoffs will commence on August 17th at 9:00 AM and any additional matches will be played on the 18th at 9:00 AM as well. Finals begins on the 19th at 9:00 AM and Grand Finals at 1:30 PM. These times are not set in stone as matches could run longer than expected, but all that means is more Call of Duty action for us all!

Call of Duty plans on streaming the World Championship through MLG’s website and through the MLG mobile app. The Call of Duty Twitch channel will also be streaming live. There will be 4 different streams, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta. They align with military nomenclature and the streams will stream teams in terms of popularity. Alpha tends to contain the most popular teams, however it does not mean that your favorite team will always be on that channel!

For people fortunate enough to be able to go, the venue for the bracket stages will take place in the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on August 17th. The group stages unfortunately will not be open to the public, but you can catch it all live on stream! If you are a Call of Duty fanatic, you definitely won’t want to miss the most important tournament of the year for Call of Duty: WWII.
