In a highly viewed stream that was watched by millions of viewers across the world. Top-rated
Fortnite player, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Belvins, spoke about his rise to the top of the Fortnite game
community as he queued up with international rap god Drake to make the record-breaking
stream. While the two were later joined by musician Travis Scott and NFL star JuJu
Smith-Schuster, the stream did not succeed in getting to the top spot for most watched twitch
stream of all time- 1.1 million people. But the stream is believed to be the most
watched individual, personal, non-tournament based stream. Since the current holder of the top
spot was made during the grand finale of the Counter strike; Global offensive in the 2018
Eleague tournament.
During the stream, Ninja and drake spoke about playing Fortnite games. Whilst Ninja is a regular,
Drake claims to have been playing for only a couple of months and using it to help relax in
between sessions. He also said he enjoys watching Ninja on twitch. While Ninja uses a PC to
play Fortnite, Drake owns a PS4, but the recently introduced Cross play system came through
for them, as they were able to join up and have fun.
The viewer count skyrocketed after Drake posted the stream link on his twitter handle; where he
has more than thirty-six million followers. And when Travis Scott and JuJu joined in, the routing
looked complete. Forming a four- man squad, they played duos. Although Belvin had to
apologize for a racial slur during the stream, it was all fun while it lasted. Epic games can
go all smiles about this major PR victory in the media war against rival Player Unknown
Battlegrounds (PUBG) and coming at a time as strategic as this- Just before the launch of the
