Call of Duty: WWII is receiving its third DLC Pack since its release in Nov. 2017. On June 26, United Front will debut on Playstation for its initial release before it will hit Xbox and PC. There is no release date announced yet for Xbox and PC.United Front will launch three new multiplayer maps and will feature a new War Mode mission.
The multiplayer maps — Market Garden, Monte Cassino, and Stalingrad — will feature different backdrops of Europe throughout the road. Market Garden will focus on the Operation of Market Garden while players work to keep control of the Allied mansion base. This map will be set in the Netherlands and will be a small map with enemies hiding around every corner. Monte Cassino will drop players just below a mountaintop monastery set in Italy. The map will feature more strategy play with rooftop vantage points and flanking opportunities. The final map, Stalingrad, will take players back to one of the largest battle grounds in World War II history. It will feature two main bases on opposite sides of the city and will allow players to focus in as a snipper or militian.
The game will also feature the addition of Operation Supercharge for zombie lovers. The new War Mode mission will present Nazi Zombies to the WWII franchise with four new hero characters taking their last stand in southern Tunisia. Players will be airdropped into Tunisia and fight their way through zombie infested Nazi-occupied towns to cripple the enemy and steal supplies.
Players will enjoy the new twist on the beloved franchise, adapting the gaming to modern trends and new content. It may not be the same as it once was, but COD’s ability to reinvent itself over and over again has allowed it to withstand the test of time.
