Esports is booming and opportunity is abundant. With the environments being primarily online, indoors, and populated by young people, companies have taken note and are providing what the people want. Esports Arenas are starting construction across the US because of the success and change in culture esports have brought.

Planet Oasis in has stated that they are planning to construct an esports arena in Delaware County, Ohio. On Monday, August 13th, Planet Oasis announce they are planning on spending 10 million dollars to construct a 30,000 square foot facility. They have explained that it will be versatile enough to host multiple esports and the tournaments revolving around them. Their goal is to drive fans to Columbus, Ohio and increase the tourism in the area. Currently, the Call of Duty World Championship is being held in the same city. Having an esports arena could be feasible if the numbers output the same

In Arlington, a 100,000 square foot esports arena is also being constructed. It is scheduled to be opened by the end of 2018 and will be the largest one to ever exist in the US. The project is being funded by Populis, Esports Venues, and NGAGE Esports. Along with the arena, a training facility, broadcasting station, retail stores, and VIP areas will all be integrated into the stadium. They are focused on bringing in big esports like LoL, Dota 2, CS:GO, and more. Texas is also the state that is home to Clutch Gaming from the League of Legends scene, Team eNVyUs, OpTic Gaming, and more. Potential for the Dallas Fuel from the Overwatch League to visit and other Texas based esports teams should be fairly high.

2019 will prove to be a year of testing as esports is being integrated into the US culture. Will these projects be a stroke of genius or will the youth prefer to watch these games online? Only time will tell.
