It is a great day for dungeon crawler fans across the globe. After tons of rumors and lots of speculation, Diablo 3 has officially been confirmed for the Switch which basically means you can play Diablo 3 anywhere you want to. Diablo 3 has been incredibly popular and marks the second time developer Blizzard has struck gold with an RPG. The darker more concise answer to WOW, Diablo 3 has become a fan favorite of the company and being ported over to the Nintendo Switch opens up a huge opportunity for both hardcore fans and newcomers to enjoy the game in a whole new way.
Diablo 3: Eternal Collection will come to Switch jampacked with not just the base game but add-ons Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancers as well. The game also includes a variety of Nintendo themed exclusive items such as cosmetic armor inspired by Ganondorf, wings inspired by Majora’s mask, and those pesky chickens from Legends of Zelda will appear in the form of pets. Not to mention everything will be unlockable from the beginning, the full campaign, themed seasons, replayable adventure modes the whole shebang. They are laying out the red carpet for new fans to have the perfect entry point into the series and there’s even a promise of four players being able to play together on one Switch. Between the four-player local multiplayer and the fact that the Switch can be played anywhere, it’s looking like Diablo 3 is going to be a must purchase for the Switch. With countless hours of content and some really addicting gameplay, it’s hard to see the Nintendo port being anything other than a huge success. Diablo 3 will hopefully prove to be worth ending the 15-year drought between Blizzard and Nintendo and hopefully usher in a lot of great content being ported over to the Switch.
