The teams had already signed players before committing to the league, but the remaining spots were contracted to players that participated in the Clash Royale League Challenge. The challenged allowed 25 million players to participate, compete, and earn a spot. To earn it, they had to place top 7000 amongst all the players and then play in more online qualifiers and live events. The organizations scouted the talent they deemed worthy and rosters were completed.
