It isn’t the biggest news in the gaming world, but for some, Feb. 2019 is the most important date released yet. EA announced that Anthem — the latest Bioware developed game — is set for release on Feb. 22 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but even more exciting, it will receive a demo release three weeks prior to the full title launch.
Getting the game, however, may not be as easy as gamers would like. Bioware announced that the demo would only be available to those who pre-ordered Anthem or purchased either EA Access or Origin Access. Access users will be able to download and enjoy the demo immediately upon its release in early 2019. However, the demo will only be available for a limited amount of time for Access members. Membership will need to be active during the demo’s release dates or be restricted from accessing the material.
Unfortunately for Bioware fans without Access or who haven’t pre-ordered the game, there hasn’t been any word on whether the game will be available to everyone, but it seems unlikely as Access members will loose access after an unspecified amount of time. Details of the start time, content and availability are scheduled to be released in the near future. Until then though, enjoy the details released in the trailer that released back in July.
